TEAS Equine
Electro-Acupressure
The fusion of Equine Massage, Equine Acupressure and Technology
A Revolutionary Way to Improve
Your Horse’s Health and Performance
Equine Transcutaneous Electro-Acupressure Stimulation
Protocols that use mild electrical current to isolate and gently activate the superficial Tendino-Muscle Meridians (energy channels).
TEAS Electro-Acupressure releases tension in fascia, muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints.
TEAS Electro-Acupressure promotes circulation, invigorates muscles, releases muscle trigger points, moves the Qi (Energy) and relieves pain.
Trigger points are used to treat areas of referred pain than extend well beyond the local area. Many trigger points are also classical acupoints.
Releasing muscle trigger points encourages the entire muscle to relax and Range of Motion (ROM) is increased.
These protocols provide pain relief to the stress points that are directly located in the treatment area AS WELL AS pain relief to all soft tissue in the entire pathway of the Tendino-Muscle Meridian.
TEAS Equine Electro-Acupressure and Equine Electro-Muscle Therapy are hybrid equine bodywork modalities that combine modern science and technology with ancient knowledge of massage, energy meridians and acupoints. The net effect is a fast, effective method of getting a horse out of muscular pain and maximizing his/her athletic performance.
Developed by Equine Performance Consultant, Donald Doran, these techniques are a reflection of Doran’s 40+ years of hands-on experience working with a broad spectrum of equine athletes ranging from Kentucky Derby winners to Olympic contenders.
Using a mild electrical current applied to specific energy channels and points on the horse’s muscles, the Equine Therapist is able to promote circulation, invigorate muscles and relieve pain without the use of drugs, surgery or invasive procedures. Doran calls TEAS Equine Electro-Acupressure the ultimate ‘disruptive technology” — disrupting the cycle of muscular pain abruptly.
This is a one-of-a-kind program that you will not find anywhere else in the world.
